Bearded Pottery

Josh's passion for pottery began unexpectedly in 2015 when he underwent a knee surgery. Being an artistic soul, he was searching for a new outlet for his creativity and found it in the form of pottery. He started taking classes at a local studio in Knoxville, Tennessee and quickly became hooked.

With newfound enthusiasm for pottery, Josh moved back to Colorado and found a friend with a kiln. Together, they set up a studio in Winter Park where Josh continued to hone his craft. He focused on making mugs and began selling them, initially to friends and family.

Soon, Josh's reputation for quality pottery began to spread, and he started selling to wholesale clients. His big break came when he started making mugs for Hideaway Park Brewery. This opportunity not only provided him with consistent work but also gave him exposure to a wider audience.

As Josh's wholesale clients continued to grow, he realized that pottery could be more than just a hobby. In 2019, he took the leap and became a full-time potter, devoting himself entirely to his craft.

Today, Josh spends his days doing what he loves most - making pottery. He's constantly experimenting with new techniques and designs to create unique pieces that stand out. During the summer months, he travels to different art shows to showcase his work, meet fellow artists, and connect with new customers.

Josh's journey from knee surgery to full-time potter is a testament to the transformative power of art. His dedication and hard work have enabled him to turn his passion into a successful career, and his story inspires others to pursue their own creative dreams.
